Bordered and framed by striated Brazilian tourmaline, feathery-flourished acanthus leaves in Renaissance-style “pietra dura”, or stone inlay, rest upon sixteen rectangular deep-veined malachite pillows. Double hairlines of ivory enhance the framing effect, creating an overall appearance of a band of emerald cut gemstones.
Forming the central embellishment of each section are golden tones of topaz, beryl, citrine, yellow fluorite and amber.
Warm green peridot offsets the gilded inlays, providing a connective link to the verdant tones seen elsewhere in this viridian silken image.
